If you just want to see Van Gogh's work, here are interesting ones. Just finished the book, "Lust for Life" by Irving Stone and now I absolutely wanted to see all the art in one place and this book was it! A true genius who only sold One piece of his art in his short life, and was constantly told his art really wasn't that good, who was completely supported by his brother his whole life, who lived and died a total tragic life, I say BRAVO, Vincent Van Gogh!

You conquered after all, your greatest passion!! I could only find it on Kindle but the price could NOT be beat.

The narrative is okay, but nothing revealing about the artist's obvious talent. Organization by type of painting is excellent allowing viewers to easily find paintings. I would like to have the publisher consider stating the canvas dimensions under each title in future editions.

Van Gogh was a remarkable artist who showed us how to see the world and paint it with colors - no one has ever displayed such emotions with a brush, then or now. Van Gogh's greatest works were completed during the last three years of his ten year painting career. Just imagine what he would have accomplished if he had lived as long as Monet 49 more years.

Today, millions appreciate his works, and even though he died believing that he failed as an artist, he will live forever in his wonderful paintings and be known as a great master artist. In summary, having the Kindle version is a nice way to easily experience Van Gogh on the go.

This was full of beautiful illustrations, but the only version I could find on Amazon was for Kindle. With this final break, he abandoned his family name and signed his canvases simply 'Vincent'.

He wanted to show his friend as many pictures as possible and decorate the Yellow House. But Gauguin did not share his views on art and finally returned to Paris. On 7 January, , fourteen days after his famous self-mutilation, Vincent left the hospital where he was convalescing.

Although he hoped to recover from and to forget his madness, but he actually came back twice more in the same year.

During his last stay in hospital, Vincent painted landscapes in which he recreated the world of his childhood. It is said that Vincent van Gogh shot himself in the side in a field but decided to return to the inn and went to bed.
