I like his writing style and subject matter, but it does seem to repeat itself.

I would also say that this takes material from other books, so it is great if you don't want to buy all of his books, but bad if you have already read them. It talks about educating yourself for financial investing in the true sense of investing.

He doesn't believe in flipping houses, but buying rental units for the tax advantage and cash flow in good times and bad. Also talks about investing in oil exploration. If you have a couple of million dollars laying around this book might be for you. Or if you are years old and want to spend you life in pursuit of seminars and investment opportunities this book might be for you. Otherwise it is a good insight into how the rich and super rich get and stay where they are. Some of his outlooks on life aren't very encouraging either.

The difference between the two? The letter K which stands for Knowledge which is the only thing that stands between the affluent and monkeys! This was a tough listen, I first read RDPD 10 years ago and it had a great impact on me, it got me fired up and most of what he stated has come true regarding the financial crisis and peoples ignorance when it comes to finances and education.

Yes, the school system sucks, yes i have to find a way to go from the E and S quadrant over to the B and I quadrant. Ok so I need to learn how to sell, invest in real estate, paper assets and commodities but show me HOW or at least guide me in the direction like your rich dad guided you. Recommend me some books, seminars, or videos or something. I must have heard the term "Financial Education about times in this book it is so repetitive i almost wanted to cry.

He explains what he has done, investing in oil wells, insider deals on hotels and apartment buildings and promotes the hell out of his Cashflow board game all the while telling you absolutely nothing on the subjects. He goes on to say that if you want to be a successful investor you must first learn how to be a successful business owner to get insider deals which are considered the best.

He also emphasizes on using OPM Other people's money to finance investments and get into good debt.

But in order to do this you must have a have high financial education, lol. There is absolutely nothing here but a story on what you need to do but not how to do it. Good general information but im disappointed this guy has nothing new to say. There is a difference between educating and story telling and Robert is definitely the latter.

Come on Bob, really? Steve Burns. This book is an excellent book for both those that want to continue their financial education with the Rich Dad series of books and also first time readers of Robert Kiyosaki. This book is complete in itself. Robert continues his theme of the dangers of the middle class clinging to their job security, possessions and savings. He believes a financial education and cash flowing assets are what leads to long term financial success.

He is also against the majority and believe most people spend their lives as wage slaves of their employers and tax slaves of the government.

He advises learning to make a living as a business owner or investor and avoid the rat race and earn a paycheck and spend it on bad debt spiral. Robert points to the many unfair advantages that the rich have over the rest of the population and how he came to posses these advantages. I like this book because he speaks about his real life successes.

I don't know of anyone else who's done that. A lot of people interested in sales and NLP think something has to be flashy, complex and technically overwhelming to be any good. As someone who makes his living because of the results he gets, I can tell you that just the opposite is true. Fortunately, this book contains what you need to get better results and still come across like a human being. That's rare and extraordinarily valuable.

I think that NLP is a great concept, but the truth is that it only applies as the marginal edge in situations. Pick this book up if you keep just missing a sale or coming close to persuading someone of something. This is a very good program, I'm in the process of customizing it to my industry, I've had other books on NLP, and they are very difficult to read, they appear to be rambling!

This is plain english that is easily understood. An information scientist, Richard Bandler, and a linguistic professor, John Grinder, developed Neurolinguistic programming techniques called NLP in the early 70's.

The Power of Unfair Advantage

From a study of successful people, they created a way to evaluate and transfer humanity's highest achievements and excellence into a powerful psychology that has practical applications.

Let's assume your mind is made up of different parts like the roles each of us enact during the day: Can you see where I am going? For each of these roles, we allow certain facets of our personality to come forward and suppress the others. For example, a cook does not necessarily have to know where the Xerox machine is.

Therefore, in the mind, folks talk to themselves in different voices or attitudes depending on which role or part is conscious. This is normal and healthy. In addition, you have parts with which you are pleased and other parts you would like to enhance.

The goal of NLP is to teach you how to improve your internal talk to get all your parts synchronized and working together. NLP has branched into many fields from success mastery in overcoming negative patterns to the practical applications for sales and marketing. Today's customer has massive control with access to more information than can possibly be processed.

The message you send to make a distinction for your product or to make you stand out as a special person must be personal, adaptable, appealing and intended for the one rather than the many. As Paul Lakin declares: Like others who must deal with folks on the telephone, you must capture the prospect's attention within the first few seconds.

You must be able to say something that will put the prospect off guard just long enough for you to begin your case. Remember, that the voice must do everything. You cannot see body signs or a bored look. What to do? Listen to the verbs. The object of Lakin's book is to teach you how to recognize the language preference revealed by the action words verbs you tend to choose at any given time. These relate to our five senses: The following examples are from the book: Without making this too lengthy, if you are in contact with the person you are selling, you can identify their sensory inclination by watching their eyes and the direction they look.

This volume is a priceless treasure and I rate it five stars for the ease in which they have taught me to be a success. This book is very interesting to read both for fun and for professional purpose. The author gives us a neat description about psychological techniques to influence a person without him realizing it. One thing I would request the author is to reduce repetition of advices.

The book is sometimes a drag to read as the same points are advised over and over again. Otherwise, this is a fantastic book! Don't read it just once. Refer the book whenever necessary. One person found this helpful. It's been awhile since I read this one but it has some very actionable ideas.
